Best Adventure Combination – Explore all of the USA & Canada – or Just Your Corner of It

Now For Sale – available October 7, 2017
Bigfoot and Ruby

OK – here's our claim:
This is the best rig for exploring the wild places – BLM lands and National Parks – biking, kayaking and hiking/tramping.

What makes us say that ?

Strong, versatile, economical, comfortable and reliable.

So flexible – take just the truck for city or trail head or 4x4 track. Lock and leave the trailer behind, to secure a campsite. Then come back to a cold beer and a hot shower.

Follow small trails and get into small campsites – where a bigger trailer or RV couldn't fit.

Fit into State and National Parks with a 25' limit.

Face the worst weather – wind, rain, or snow – knowing that you'll be stable and warm and dry and well-fed.

Fit into State and National Parks with a 25' limit.

Both vehicles are owned by and registered to a Montana LLC – take over the company if you wish.

How much ?

Bigfoot is a 2008 25B25RQ Travel Trailer with a full live-off-grid solar system, installed just last year. And boy, does it work well.

Ruby is a top-of-the-line three-quarter ton pickup – a 2015 RAM 2500 4x4 Crew cab Laramie Longhorn Limited, with all the options you would ask for in a heavy-duty tow vehicle.

She has the 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel, air suspension, LSD (limited slip diferential) electric folding tow mirrors and sunroof - plus the very enjoyable features you get with the top-spec 'Limited' trim level - the big Nav System, the great sound system (with factory sub-woofer), heated and cooled seats and dual- memory adjustable driver pedals/seat/mirrors for easy push-button driver changes.

That is really everything you could look for in the most popular RV-towing pickup brand. When you get out on the road, all accross North America, it seems like there are a huge number of RAMs towing Travel Trailers. We think we know why !

We'd like to sell Ruby & Bigfoot together
so, while they total $77,000
buy together and pay only $ 74,950
(the kayaks are not included in this price)

Why are We Selling ?

By October, we shall have completed both our planned 6-month summers of travel & fun in North America – 2016 & 2017 – and while it would be great to do it again, we have a house-building project in New Zealand to return to and focus on. So it's time to sell up and pass on this fantastic rig – to the next lucky owners.

Explore or play in just the Truck (Ruby)

Ruby is nimble – for single day (or longer) trips.

One big vehicle doesn't give you this much flexibility.

A big bus and a TOWD (separate towed car) is also great – but not much fun to back up. Ruby & Bigfoot back up just fine.

Ruby in Mountains

Head for the mountains or a 4x4 trail into a mountain-biking adventure or hike. Or head into the city to a museum, a concert or a sports event

Ruby 4x4

Great city manoeverability and parking. Parking is even easier with the reversing camera on the big central screen. The electric folding mirrors are also great for urban use.
